Executive Director

The St. Martin de Porres Residence in Lewiston provides a safe place to stay for men and women facing homelessness and helps them get their lives back on track. We are currently seeking an Executive Director to help us in this mission.

The Executive Director is the chief executive officer of St. Martin de Porres Residence, Inc. and is responsible for the management of St. Martin de Porres Residence, Inc. and represent the St. Martin de Porres Residence Inc. to professional and Church groups. The Executive Director serves as an ex‑officio member of all committees. The Executive Director is accountable to the Board of Directors through the chairperson or a designee.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and administer Ministry programs ensuring alignment with mission and Board policies.
• Implement strategic plans and fundraising strategies, suggesting changes as needed.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Supervise staff and foster a collaborative, compassionate work environment.
• Represent the ministry in the community and advocate for low‑income individuals.

Qualifications:

• Active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the church.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in human services, administration, fundraising, and staff supervision.
  • Four years of additional experience in human services may be substituted for the degree.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
