General Production Operator - $23+/hour

Flowers Foods & Subsidiaries invites applications for the General Production Operator position. The operator will work in our full‑time production facilities, contributing across all phases of the production process—including operating automated equipment, maintaining machinery, performing sanitation, and ensuring a safe, productive environment.

Operators are expected to be competent with pre‑flight, operation, and maintenance decisions related to equipment. They must act flexibly, rotating job assignments as needed, and maintain a safe work environment for themselves and coworkers. All on‑job activities must safeguard product safety, legality, and quality.

• General
  • Check production work schedules for job assignment and time reporting.
  • Perform start‑up/shut‑down sanitation and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure work area is clean, organized, and compliant with company policies (EEO, harassment, safety, etc.).
  • Perform any duties directed by supervision.
• Scaler/Divider Operator
  • Maintain production schedule and correct scaling weights.
  • Scale ingredients, load, operate and unload mixer(s).
  • Operate dough pump; adjust and run one‑pocket and six‑pocket dividers, rounder, and overhead proofer.
  • Validate scaling weights and equipment standards.
• Wrapping Operator
  • Verify product running order and pan count sheet for quantity.
  • Check wrap count sheet for bag types.
  • Set and operate slicer, bagger, and tier equipment.
  • Perform QC inspection of finished product and ensure correct loading.
• Palletizer (and related roles: Roll Line Operator, Board Monitor, Retard Box Monitor)
  • Verify production schedule and program.
  • Check pallets, slip sheets, and other documentation for quantity.
  • Perform sanitation and preventive maintenance during startup/shutdown.
• All employees are responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of every function and product.

• Two years related bakery or production experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
