American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Psych RN for a night shift position requiring mental health nursing experience and CPI certification.
Requirements- Active RN license (Maine or compact)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI
- Associate's degree required
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of previous mental health nursing experience required
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong team player with ability to manage stress and make decisions under pressure
- Work in the Crisis Psychiatric Unit of a behavioral healthcare facility
- Patient population includes ages 5 and up with psychiatric illnesses such as major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, and psychotic disorders
- Some patients may also require medical care or detoxification services
- Night shift schedule from 7p-7a
- Flexibility required to provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Serve as an essential member of the patient care team providing direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process
- Develop and periodically update individualized, interdisciplinary plans of care
- Evaluate patient outcomes and identify available resources for patients
