LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager for a well-established, global industrial organization with a long operating history and a growing U.S. footprint. This role will lead the domestic accounting function and serve as a key partner to finance leadership, supporting month‑end close, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong people leadership, hands‑on technical accounting experience, and a proven ability to scale accounting operations in a complex business environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the U.S. monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accruals and account reconciliations
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the accounting department, including supervision and development of accounting staff
• Lead accounts payable operations and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls
• Maintain and oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and detailed management analyses
• Oversee preparation and compliance for sales and use tax, as well as other indirect and corporate tax filings
• Support external reporting requirements, including assistance with SEC filings and financial statement preparation
• Provide technical accounting research and guidance on new or complex accounting matters
• Partner with finance leadership on continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting
• Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Support ad hoc projects and special initiatives for senior finance leadership

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing or leading an accounting function
• CPA strongly preferred
• Demonstrated people management and team development experience
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving business environment
