This job listing is to source candidates for potential substitute needs which may become available in the future. It is an in-person position at the FCA Prosper location.
Position SummaryTeaches and facilitates learning for students in a Responsive Education Solutions (Responsive Ed) school, maintaining academic progress, discipline, and records. Works with parents and students to provide and implement individualized education to meet the needs of all students.
Qualifications Education/Certification, and Experience- Prefer Highly Qualified (HQ) with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, not required.
- Graduate degree in a core academic area is an alternative to achieve HQ status, but not required.
- Teacher’s Certification is recommended but not required.
- Teaching experience in a public school is preferred.
- A passion for children.
- Patience and ability to work interactively with children.
- Basic knowledge of federal and state education laws.
- Computer literate.
- Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and implement teaching curriculum software programs and instruct students on their utilization.
- Effective communication with students, parents, staff, and administrators.
- Adaptability to changes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Instruct and motivate students across all course studies.
- Assign lessons and correct homework.
- Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment.
- Ensure the learning center is safe, attractive, and stimulating.
- Set a good example in housekeeping and encourage students to follow suit.
- Inspire students to build self-esteem and promote success through care and consistency.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to enhance learning.

SalaryLong Term Substitute: $110.00 per day (Non-Degreed) / $120.00 per day (Degreed).
