Job SummaryThe Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources for Centex, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, onboarding and offboarding. In addition, the HR Manager is responsible for administering payroll, managing benefit plans, and leading the annual open enrollment process. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, ensuring HR practices align with company goals and compliance standards.

- The HR Manager partners with ADP as the company’s HCM system provider and collaborates with MMA as the benefits broker to ensure smooth administration of payroll and benefits.
- Manage all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance and offboarding.
- Oversee semi-monthly payroll processing through ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and ancillary benefits.
- Coordinate with MMA (benefits broker) on plan design, renewals, open enrollment, and employee education.
- Lead the annual open enrollment process, including communication, employee meetings, and system updates in ADP.
- Maintain compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies across all operating states.
- Support managers and employees with HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Conduct investigations and address employee concerns in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner.
- Generate HR reports, track key metrics, and provide data analysis to support leadership decisions.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping of personnel files, benefits enrollments, and payroll records.
- Coordinate training initiatives, performance review processes, and professional development opportunities.
- Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Experience processing payroll and administering benefits, preferably using ADP Workforce Now or similar HCM systems.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and working with third-party brokers such as MMA is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and HR investigations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/HCM platforms.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to partner with all levels of the organization.
- HR Expertise - In-depth understanding of HR best practices, compliance, and employment law.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration - Skilled in managing payroll processes and employee benefit programs.
