Position: Director, People Business Partner

Assurant is looking for a Director, People Business Partner to join our dynamic Wireless Repair & Logistics and Asset Disposition team in Lewisville, TX. This fast-paced, innovative operation processes and refurbishes millions of mobile devices every year—helping our clients manage returns and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

In this strategic role, you’ll be more than an HR leader—you’ll be a trusted advisor and change agent, driving people strategies that fuel performance and foster an engaged, customer-focused culture. You’ll collaborate across our People Organization—Talent, Total Rewards & Wellbeing, Strategic Enablement & Change, and People Experience—to deliver integrated solutions that build organizational capability and shape the future of our business.

What

will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
  • Partner with leaders to develop and implement people strategies that drive business results.
  • Lead initiatives in Employee Engagement, Organizational Change, Talent Development, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Learning, and Compensation.
  • Enhance employee engagement and strengthen leadership capability through coaching and development programs.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to design recruiting strategies for critical roles.
  • Support change management efforts for transformation initiatives.
  • Analyze HR metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that shape the future of our operations.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years in Human Resources (HR), including at least 1 year creating and implementing people strategies in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Advanced consulting, influencing, and collaboration skills in a matrixed organization.
  • Expertise in core HR areas: employee relations, staffing, learning, benefits, and more.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and solve complex problems.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
  • PHR/SPHR certification.
  • Experience in regulated environments.
  • Leadership experience managing teams and budgets.
