Fabrication Machinist

The Fabrication Machinist supports the day-to-day operations in Hilti’s Value-Added Service Center (VASC) with the manufacturing and assembly of standard and custom customer orders. Duties include set up and operating horizontal bandsaw and industrial equipment to cut threaded rod, strut, and other materials to customer and internal quality specifications. The machine operator performs required quality and maintenance checks and minor/routine equipment maintenance as needed.

Assists with assembly and prefabrication of product for customer orders.

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, read and convert between decimals and fractions, and use basic calculator.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings.
• Basic computer skills required; SAP experience, preferred.
• Forklift certification required (will provide training once hired, if needed).
