Urgent Care NP/PA – Dallas/Fort Worth, TX | Local Locum Tenens

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for ongoing Urgent Care coverage throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

This opportunity is built for local DFW clinicians with a strong Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Family Practice background who want to continue practicing high-acuity, hands-on medicine in a fast-moving outpatient environment. With an extensive network of clinics across North Texas, providers can support multiple communities while maintaining an ongoing local practice.

The Opportunity

• Ongoing locum tenens coverage throughout Dallas/Fort Worth
• Full-time coverage needed
• PRN opportunities may also be available
• Multiple clinic locations across the Metroplex
• Local candidates only
• No travel or lodging required
• Start once credentialed

Schedule

• Clinics operate Monday–Saturday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Scheduling and clinic assignments coordinated based on coverage needs
• Weekend rotation required
• Opportunity to float throughout the DFW market

Clinical Practice

• Fast-paced outpatient Urgent Care
• Approximately 30–60 patients per day
• Adult and pediatric patients 3 months and older
• Evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
• Independent clinical decision-making
• Full-scope Urgent Care procedures
• Suturing and laceration repair
• Incision and drainage
• Initial interpretation of X-rays
• Occupational Medicine services
• Practice Velocity EMR

The practice expects APPs to work independently, treat adults and children beginning at three months, perform common acute-care procedures, and provide first reads of X-rays.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active, unrestricted Texas license
• Active DEA/CSR
• 3–6 years of Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Family Practice experience
• Comfortable independently managing a busy Urgent Care clinic
• Comfortable treating patients 3 months and older
• Strong procedural skills
• Ability to perform initial X-ray interpretation
• Must reside locally within the Dallas/Fort Worth market
• Must be comfortable floating between DFW-area clinics
• Candidates currently working for a direct competitor are not eligible
