Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho Trauma Unit position requiring 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience and TX or compact RN license.

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Ortho Trauma/Med Surg unit on the 4th floor, A tower
• 32-bed unit staffed with RN, LVN, and PCT team members
• Day and night shifts staffed with 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RN/LVN mix, and 2-3 PCTs
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• No on-call requirements
• May float to Surgical Telemetry Unit or Inpatient Rehab
• 13-week assignment on 7P-7A night shift
• Perform ambulation and PRN wound care for Med/Surg patients
• Charge experience and preceptor experience preferred
• Positive, team-oriented attitude valued on this unit
• Supportive department culture with staff collaboration during busy shifts
• Dedicated admission/discharge team assists with patient transitions
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
