Full Time Merchandise Coordinator — Marshalls, Lewisville, TXThe Merchandise Coordinator executes receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring that Associates process inventory efficiently and work effectively as a team. This position calls for a proactive leader who can prioritize the flow of merchandise onto the sales floor, uphold a clean and organized backroom, and maintain signage standards. The coordinator also monitors team productivity, provides constructive coaching, and communicates accurately with management regarding priorities and progress updates.
Key Responsibilities- Create a positive internal and external customer experience at every touchpoint.
- Orchestrate truck deliveries, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
- Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
- Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
- Support store shrink reduction goals and promote safety awareness.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs to drive customer engagement.
- One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Capability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong multitasking abilities and adaptability to unexpected situations.
- Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
