Field Preventative Maintenance Technician

Bobcat of North Texas is looking for professionals interested in a performance-based path to increased freedom and pay to join the highly rated service department of our dealership. Our goal is for this person to begin in our shop learning the ropes from our tenured team and then move into a field service van you can drive home every night, and take care of customers in the field during the day.

WORK HOURS: 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment out in the field.
  • Identify and give recommendations for repairs and make all critical machine and safety related repairs/adjustments.
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and craft components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
  • Make critical adjustments as required to various parts, components and systems.
  • Communicate effectively and expertly with customers on their repairs.
  • Finish the necessary documentation and follow up as required in a timely, orderly manner.
  • Create a work environment that is considerate of the customer’s needs.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn to effectively use company software – with training.
  • General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools & instruments, and diagnostic software.
  • Technical school certificate OR equivalent 1 year experience in automotive lube service is required.
  • Should be personable, a problem solver, and reliable.
