Japanese Bilingual Office Administrator - Lexington, KY
A Japanese manufacturing company is currently looking for a full‑time, onsite Japanese Bilingual Office Administrator to join their Lexington, KY location.
The role will manage essential office operations with a focus on accounting and human resources. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth financial processes, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll management, while also supporting HR functions and translating business documents between English and Japanese.
DOE and skills, the pay range for this position would be around the 45k-60k mark with great benefits such as medical, dental and life insurance, a simple IRA at 3% and PTO.

Your Essential Duties- Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
- Issue invoices, occasional quotations, and purchase orders.
- Track A/R balance and contact customers if needed; pay bills as part of daily duties.
- Track employees’ work hours and paid time off days.
- Run payroll biweekly and prepare/submit withholding taxes and forms.
- Prepare the state sales and use tax return on an annual basis.
- Report financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow) to Japan headquarters monthly.
- Process monthly closing, including bank account reconciliation.
- Work closely with an outside CPA to prepare corporate income tax returns.
- Handle employee benefits, such as health/dental/voluntary insurance and retirement plan.
- Record and maintain employee business mileage and travel expenses.
- Translate business documents from English to Japanese, or vice versa.
- Assist non‑English speaking Japanese personnel in general professional and personal matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in office administration, accounting, and payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Previous experience working with corporate tax preparation is preferred.
