Close the books, reconcile accounts, and keep client financials audit-ready.

The Accountant delivers accurate bookkeeping, payroll support, sales tax compliance, financial reporting, and tax return prep support for our small business clients. You'll make sure clients get timely, reliable financial information so they can run their businesses with confidence — and you'll do it as part of a team that has each other's back. We use Quick Books Online and Gusto as our preferred software stack.

• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Process payroll accurately and on time
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Assist with business and individual tax return preparation
• Maintain organized client files
• Communicate with clients regarding their financial information
• Identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively
• Follow documented firm workflows and procedures

• 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or staff accounting experience
• Fluent in Quick Books Online — accrual and cash basis
• Detail-obsessed; you catch the small things before they grow
• Comfortable working independently across a portfolio of clients
• US-based, authorized to work in the US

• Payroll (Gusto) and multi-state sales tax familiarity
• Experience supporting tax prep at a small accounting firm
• Background working with owner-operated small businesses
• Focused, heads-down work — minimal meetings, real focus time
• Clean handoffs from a CSM and Tax Manager who respect your work
