Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operational & Consolidations Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, consolidations, and operational accounting activities across multiple business units. This role will work closely with accounting and operational teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data, streamline reporting processes, and provide insights that support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidations across multiple entities and business units.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Maintain consolidation schedules, intercompany transactions, and eliminations.
Analyze financial results and investigate variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
Prepare account reconciliations and ensure balance sheet integrity.
Support corporate and operational reporting requirements for leadership.
Partner with business unit leaders to understand operational drivers impacting financial performance.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Coordinate audit requests and support external and internal audit processes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Support ERP system maintenance, reporting enhancements, and data integrity initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, and financial analysis.
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred.
Experience with multi-location, multi-entity, or international consolidations.
Experience with systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Dynamics 365, Hyperion, One Stream, or Black Line.
Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, professional services, or private equity-backed organizations.
