Physical Requirements Lifting/pushing/pulling objects up to 50 pounds regularly, occasionally over 50 pounds; standing/walking with objects up to 35 pounds; sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; working at heights above 4 feet; occasional job related travel.

Shift 40 hours per week. Overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Job Summary

The Singletary Center for the Arts at the University of Kentucky seeks a versatile and organized individual with experience in audio services to include stage, studio, and streaming. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of sound, A/V, and communication equipment including lobby monitor and ALD systems for Concert Hall and Recital Hall; assisting in recording and live streaming of events; set up of sound array;

event technical coordination; equipment management; production management; and relationship building and planning. As part of the University of Kentucky and College of Fine Arts, the Singletary Center employs student labor to produce events; applicants are expected to work well alongside student employees and participate in a supportive teaching/learning work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain sound, A/V, and communication equipment including lobby monitor and ALD systems.
  • Assist in recording and live streaming of events.
  • Set up sound arrays and coordinate technical aspects of events.
  • Manage equipment and production activities.
  • Build relationships and plan with stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of audio software.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience in the field of sound and audio services.
  • Driver's license preferred.
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
