Valley also has two Prefab locations in the Midwest and a mostly remote BIM Department.
Through three generations of leadership, Valley has grown to a team of over 1,500 and continues expanding its capabilities in commercial specialty construction.
The Role
The BIM Coordinator will work directly within the Valley BIM Department, supporting Project Management and Construction teams to utilize BIM modeling and processes to create drawings of the highest level of detail and accuracy.
What You’ll Do- Responsible for project‑based modeling using Revit, AutoCAD, and other software.
- Assist in coordinating BIM standards development, implementation, and quality for all related files and models.
- Assist with 2D drawings for our HP Siteprint Layout Robots.
- Develop BIM models and understand the scope of work for subcontractors.
- Participate in GC‑driven coordination meetings.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of construction workflow processes and priorities.
- Assist the BIM team on multiple ongoing and complex projects while meeting requirements.
- Troubleshoot any BIM‑related issues.
- Assist with BIM project benchmarks to meet project deadlines.
- Contribute to the documentation, dissemination, and monitoring of standards, best practices, and industry advancements.
- Partner with office, field, and prefab teams to create plans for model‑based prefabrication.
- Minimum 2‑4 years of experience in the construction industry or a Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- Basic proficiency with Autodesk ACC Suite—Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM
360/ACC. - Experience with BIM Coordination process, reviewing and clearing clashes.
- Experience with Recap (point‑cloud prep), HP Siteprint prep, Lumion, or similar tools.
- Understanding of Prefab operations and how they relate to the construction process.
- Ability to travel to office locations and attend trainings, conferences or job‑site visits if required (up to 15% annually).
