Your Opportunity

Appalachian Regional Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our dedicated specialty team in Hazard, Kentucky. This role offers a chance to deliver comprehensive GI care in a supportive and collaborative health system focused on improving community health throughout southeastern Kentucky and southern West Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions including liver, pancreatic, esophageal, and colorectal disorders
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD), and other interventions
  • Collaborate closely with primary care, surgery, oncology, and radiology teams within the ARH network
  • Engage in quality initiatives and multidisciplinary case discussions
Candidate Profile
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
  • Committed to community-focused, patient-centered care
  • Collaborative and adaptable to a rural health system environment
