DNP, PhD, or Doctoral Degree in nursing or a related field is required, with a minimum of two years’ experience in professional nursing within the last five years.

An active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse is required.

The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking an Assistant Professor, Special Title Series (tenure‑eligible) position. This 9‑month appointment will have an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 50‑70% Teaching and Advising, 5‑20% Research/Scholarly Activity, 0‑20% Clinical Practice Service, and 5% Service/Professional Development, reviewed annually. The anticipated start date is on or before January 1, 2026.

This position, based in Lexington, KY, will assist in resourcing the Undergraduate programs within the College of Nursing. The incumbent will provide teaching, advising, and mentoring of undergraduate students; contribute to scholarly practice and advance nursing professionalism; implement and evaluate the assigned didactic and clinical courses in the College’s undergraduate program; plan and evaluate student clinical experiences; guide undergraduate students and provide clinical services as an undergraduate clinical instructor as delineated.

Teaching experience is preferred. Preparation in teaching and learning principles, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills is critical for this position. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
