Job SummaryThe Office of Student Organizations and Activities (SOA) is committed to inspiring students to explore opportunities aim to build skills, relationships, and experiences that have real‑world impact.
Responsibilities- Co‑advising and supporting the Student Government Association (SGA) across its Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches.
- Co‑advising the Graduate Student Congress (GSC) and supporting its executive team and additional structures.
- Directly advising students in programs, events, and service delivery for diverse campus constituencies.
- Facilitating and overseeing daily operations of SGA, GSC, and other sponsored student organizations, including financial administration of primary student fee funds, event planning logistics, and compliance with SGA codes, university policy, and applicable laws.
- Creating, delivering, and overseeing leadership and professional development training programs.
- Managing honors and awards processes, including the Lead Blue ceremony.
- Supporting operations around projects such as SOA Summits, Workshops, Lead Blue Ceremony, SOA Committees, SOA Programming and Large Events, and volunteering with campus partners.
- Coordinating and delivering student‑leadership recognition, training, and development programs campus‑wide and across the state.
- Building and maintaining campus partnerships and collaborations.
- Implementing assessment strategies for SGA, GSC, sponsored student organizations and SOA programs to inform institutional service delivery.
- Providing leadership‑education support aligned with university strategic plans.
Occasional night and weekend coverage may be necessary.
Student Success MissionStudent Success supports students from early college outreach to graduation through a student‑centered framework grounded in peer‑reviewed literature, best practices, and data‑informed decision making.
Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesStudent personnel programming; knowledge of student development theory and applications; student advisement experience in a co‑curricular collegiate setting.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesYes.
Preferred Education / ExperienceMaster’s in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, or related field with 1‑3 years of related experience. Equivalent qualifications of a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of student or customer service experience are considered.
Driver’s LicensePreferred.
