Job SummaryJob duties of a student worker at the ECL include playing with and supervising young children, helping classroom teachers with cleaning and organizing, assisting with daily routines, reading to children, and taking children to the playground and walks around campus.
Responsibilities- Play with and supervise young children.
- Assist classroom teachers with cleaning and organizing.
- Help with daily routines and read to children.
- Take children to the playground and walk around campus.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, or Psychology preferred.
- Other fields considered if applicant has a strong background in early childhood.
- Experience working with young children, preferably in school settings.
- Interest in working during Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and/or Summer 2026 at the Early Childhood Lab.
- Valid negative TB test within the last 2 years or willingness to obtain one.
- CPR and 1st aid certification required within 3 months of employment.
- Full fingerprint background check required upon offer.
- Ability to pick up children weighing up to 40 pounds, push strollers, and get up and down from the floor several times a day.
- Children go outside at least two times each day; teachers accompany them outdoors.
The ECL opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 5:30 p.m.
