Employment Details

Full‑time Faculty, Tenure track position, Regular Title Series, 12‑month. Minimum start date:
July 1, 2026 (earlier start negotiable). On‑site position, based in Lexington, KY.

Required Education
  • PhD in nursing preferred, or PhD in an associated field with a master’s degree in nursing.
  • Active Kentucky license as a registered nurse.
Required Experience
  • Evidence of a beginning record of research and scholarship.
  • Some teaching experience with adult students (graduate and/or undergraduate).
  • Advising experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Job Summary

The College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky invites exceptional candidates to apply for a full‑time, 12‑month Regular Title Series, tenure‑eligible position, rank of Assistant Professor. We seek candidates who use innovative approaches to address important and challenging problems in all aspects of nursing science. Research start‑up funds are negotiable for this Regular Title Series faculty position. The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of grantsmanship and productivity in health‑related research, a commitment to education, and collaborative research and scholarship.

  • Teach at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels.
  • Actively participate in service to the university and the profession.
  • Promote community among faculty, staff, trainees, and students.
  • Maintain an established research career with an ambitious vision.
