Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day operations of Community Action Council's Child Development classrooms. Responsible for providing leadership to teaching staff, implements activities toensure achievement of curriculum, child outcomes and maintenance of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation, compliance with state licensing requirements, local ordinances and Head Start Program Performance Standards.
QualificationsEducation:
Masters, Bachelors or Associate in:
- Interdisciplinary early childhood education
- Early childhood special education
- Early childhood education
- Early childhood development
- Elementary education
- Child care assistant
- Child development services
- Human sciences
- Individual and family studies
Related degree:
Psychology, sociology, art therapy, child life, elementary education, nursing, speech therapy, counseling, human services, human services administration or program administration, nursery school teacher, university or general studies with emphasis in early childhood, physical therapy, occupational therapy.
