Structural Section Head

Our client is seeking a senior-level Bridge/Structural Practice Leader to oversee business development, project delivery, and team management for our clients horizontal structural group in their Lexington, KY office. This Full-Time (direct hire) role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with 10+ years of experience in bridge or horizontal structural engineering and a passion for leadership and growth.

• Drive business development efforts and expand market presence at the local level
• Collaborate with office managers and practice leaders to execute strategic growth plans
• Manage departmental budget, staff resources, and financial success
• Lead proposal development and contribute technical expertise across projects
• Oversee hiring, staffing plans, and performance management for the department
• Serve as a go-to resource for project managers and technical staff
• Support and mentor team members through continuous performance feedback and coaching

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field (from accredited program)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 10+ years of horizontal structural/bridge engineering experience
• Strong background in project management and business development
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
• Prior supervisory or department leadership experience
