Position: Transportation Civil Engineer (PE)

Overview

We are partnering with a well‑established transportation engineering firm to identify a Transportation Civil Engineer (PE) to support and lead roadway and transportation design projects throughout Northern Kentucky.

Base pay range

$/yr – $/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Design roadways, highways, intersections, pedestrian facilities, and transportation systems
  • Develop plans, models, and construction documents using Micro Station, InRoads, and/or Open Roads
  • Collaborate with planners, environmental specialists, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Support traffic engineering, civil site development, and transportation planning efforts
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and client presentations
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to support project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and design standards
  • Contribute innovative, practical solutions that enhance safety, mobility, and sustainability
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 5‑10+ years of experience in transportation engineering
  • Prior experience working for an engineering firm specializing in transportation engineering, such as:
    • Roadway design
    • Airport design
    • Traffic engineering
    • Transportation planning
    • Civil site development
  • Proficiency with Micro Station, InRoads, and/or Open Roads
  • Strong analytical, communication, and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a consulting engineering environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — NO H‑1B or visa sponsorship available
