We are currently seeking an Intern – Engineering Transportation to join our Lexington, KY office.

This role is ideal for a motivated student pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline who is eager to gain hands‑on experience in transportation engineering. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals while contributing to real‑world transportation and infrastructure projects that improve mobility, safety, and connectivity within the communities we serve.

Through mentorship and collaboration, you will have the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to projects involving roadways, highways, traffic, bridges, multimodal facilities, and other transportation infrastructure. This internship provides valuable exposure to the planning, design, analysis, and construction phases of transportation projects while helping you build the technical and professional skills needed for a successful engineering career.

As an Intern – Engineering Transportation
, you will support project teams with a variety of engineering, design, and technical assignments while gaining exposure to different phases of transportation project delivery. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will assist with preparing plans, performing calculations, gathering and analyzing project data, and developing technical documentation.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, planners, and other professionals across multidisciplinary teams. You may also participate in field visits and project meetings while gaining hands‑on experience with industry‑standard engineering software, design standards, and transportation engineering practices.

• Assist project teams with the preparation of transportation plans, exhibits, reports, calculations, and construction documents.
• Support engineers with engineering calculations, quantity estimates, data collection, and technical analyses.
