**** Surgical Tech-OR
** Full Time I Second Shift Operating Room I Lexington, KY**$15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals.
** Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.

* Description:

*** Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse. Performs scrub functions and other roles, which support the perioperative plan of care Demonstrates knowledge of operative procedures.
* Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique including but not limited to gowning, gloving sterilization, and disinfection.
* Actively participates in unit activities.
* Ensures positive customer relations interactions.
* On call weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation.
** Requirements:
*** Technical Diploma;
Associate degree.
* Completion of a Surgical Technology program.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
