Education and Experience

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent in Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Social Sciences, Communication, Health Services Research, Bioinformatics, Health Sciences, or related fields.

Experience: Demonstrated research experience in implementation science; cancer‑related interests that span prevention, screening, treatment, survivorship, or end‑of‑life care; training in cancer care delivery, patient/community engagement, and/or health equity is strongly desired.

Job Summary and Expectations

We seek an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join the Markey Cancer Center and the Department of Behavioral Science in the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky. The successful candidate will be a seasoned implementation scientist with a dynamic, productive research portfolio and active extramural grant support, aiming to accelerate the dissemination and implementation of evidence‑based practices in real‑world settings to reduce the burden of cancer and health disparities.

The ideal candidate will have NIH‑funded research or strong potential for such funding; maintain a focus on community‑level factors that impact cancer vulnerability; engage in research mentorship; and contribute to a vibrant environment of scholars from behavioral sciences, public health, social sciences, communication, health services research, biomedical informatics, health sciences, nursing, medicine, nutrition, and related fields. Emphasis is on implementation science, patient and community engagement, quality of cancer care delivery, and health equity.
