Required EducationCandidates must be enrolled at UK full‑time for the Fall 2025 semester and remain enrolled full‑time in good academic standing for the duration of employment with ITS.
Required Related Experience- Coursework or experience in computer science, engineering, mass communications, and/or customer service.
- Experience with Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android operating systems.

Physical RequirementsAbility to work at a desk utilizing computer, mouse, keyboard, and chat support for portions of the day.
ShiftFlexible days, evenings, nights. Must be able to work 10–20 hours per week, coordinated with class schedule.
Job SummaryStudent Technology Specialists assist students with accessing Eduroam, downloading and installing software, supporting overall student success initiatives, troubleshooting technical issues while on campus, recording interactions in Service Now ticketing system, and providing general computer support and maintenance. Services are delivered both in person and remotely.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proficient or advanced computer and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Independent and dependable.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to explain technical concepts in non‑technical language.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and prior troubleshooting customer service experience are preferred.
