Ruskin, a subsidiary of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Process Engineer. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence by supporting existing manufacturing processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives at the Lexington facility. The Manufacturing Engineer develops innovative solutions to production challenges involving materials, processes, and tooling, while supporting new product introductions through advanced process design, tooling development, and machinery implementation.
Additional responsibilities include establishing robust production controls, overseeing equipment setup and optimization, and ensuring proper operation through comprehensive training for team members.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, production supervisors, and operators.
- Analyze product and process workflows to identify efficiency gains, quality improvements, and cost reduction opportunities.
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and consistency.
- Partner with vendors to design and implement production‑specific equipment and automation solutions.
- Ensure safety compliance and proactively address potential hazards in equipment and processes.
- Optimize facility layouts and material flow for improved manufacturing efficiency.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Lead capital projects, including equipment selection, budgeting, and implementation.
- Support new product introduction by collaborating with product engineering teams on manufacturability.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of CNC programming (preferred but not required).
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The role may occasionally involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and occasional outdoor conditions.
