The Fund Development and Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing fundraising events to support the organization's financial goals, while also cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors. This role includes managing event logistics, donor communications, and assisting in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies.
Primary Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Executive Director (ED) and Board to develop and implement an annual fundraising strategy aligned with the Refuge Clinic’s mission and goals.
- Build and nurture lasting relationships with donors and potential donors, tailoring engagement efforts to meet their needs and inspire their commitment to the clinic’s vision.
- Design and execute a comprehensive plan to expand and sustain a strong base of individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Manage donor relations, including regular newsletters, personalized phone calls, and face-to-face meetings to strengthen donor engagement.
- Plan and implement fundraising events to attract new donors and increase overall support for the organization.
- Support Grant Coordinator in researching and pursuing grant opportunities, and coordinating the preparation, submission, and tracking of grant proposals.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to raise awareness of the organization’s work among volunteers, donors, and the broader community, utilizing channels such as email, social media, and the clinic’s website.
- Evaluate and report on key metrics to demonstrate the organization’s outreach impact, while assessing the effectiveness of fundraising, donor engagement, and marketing initiatives.
- Personal commitment to Christ, actively serving in the church community, and spiritually accountable.
- Proven track record of success in fundraising and event coordination with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a general understanding of marketing strategies.
- Experience with donor databases and data management systems.
The schedule for this position is 30-40 hours per week.
