Position Type:
Staff, Full‑Time, 3 shifts of 12 hours per week (7 am–7:30 pm); may include weekends and holidays.
This position provides lactation and breastfeeding support for mothers of normal newborns and mothers whose infants are in the NICU.
Responsibilities- Provide lactation and breastfeeding support to mothers of newborns, including NICU patients.
- Educate families on pumping, feeding techniques, and infant nutrition.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to support infant care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
- Prerequisite education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
- Physical ability to lift 20 pounds and to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Capacity to work three 12‑hour shifts per week, 7 am–7:30 pm; may work weekends and holidays.
