American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 24-bed telemetry unit supporting a comprehensive stroke program, requiring a KY or compact RN license and night shift availability.

• 24-bed Telemetry unit supporting a comprehensive stroke program
• Specializes in Neurology, Neurosurgery, TIA, and CVA care
• Also serves as overflow for orthopedic patients
• Patient population transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s 7p-7a
• Weekends and holidays as needed

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• NIHSS certification required within 3 months of hire
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Last 4 of SSN and MM/DD of DOB required for consideration

• Implements professional nursing practice centered on patient-centered, holistic care
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized care plans
• Coordinates admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including patient and family education
• Delegates and oversees patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; candidates within this radius accepted at a lower rate
