Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab unit requiring KY or compact RN licensure and BLS/ACLS certification.

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation and NIHSS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• PACU, recovery, cardiac, telemetry, or ICU experience preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong computer systems knowledge or ability to be trained
• Last 4 digits of SSN and month/day of date of birth required for consideration

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit supporting Cath Lab, EP Lab, and CV Observation services
• Cardiac patient population including caths, angioplasty, interventions, ablations, devices, TEEs, and cardioversions
• Observation unit supports pre- and post-operative patient care
• Second shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 8:30a-9p, Monday-Friday
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for cardiac patients
• Collaborate with interprofessional care team members to coordinate individualized treatment plans
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
