American Traveler is hiring a night shift ICU RN with CVICU and open heart recovery experience for a 12-bed cardiac intensive care unit.

• 12-bed ICU caring for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft and Valve Replacement patients, both adult and elder populations
• Receives overflow patients requiring medical cardiac interventions, pre-cardiac surgery intensive care, and general surgical intensive care
• Utilizes specialized equipment including Arctic Sun, Impella, IABP, and CRRT
• Third shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
• Weekends and holidays required as needed
• EPIC EMR used

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• CVICU experience and experience recovering open heart patients required
• EPIC experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for cardiac and surgical ICU patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
• Collaborate with inter-professional care team members and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
