American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of CVICU experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

• CVICU setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• 36 or 48 hour assignment
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Required to work 3 of 5 Winter holidays

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• CCRN certification preferred
• ECMO experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care/management
• Experience with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and titrating cardiac drips
• Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) preferred
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients
• Candidates must be free of any licensure hits to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must be separated from all affiliated facilities for 6 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration; requests submitted after will not be approved
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
