American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with a KY or compact license and at least 1-2 years of acute care telemetry experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.

• Acute care telemetry unit (3A/3B) with 26 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
• Common diagnoses include med surg, gastro, and telemetry conditions
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, every other weekend
• Epic EMR used for charting
• RNs required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitroglycerin, and Cardizem
• Charge nurse present each shift and takes patient assignments
• Patient care techs/nurse aides on unit assist with vitals, glucose checks, baths, and I&Os
• RT equipment on unit includes BiPap, CPAP, and High Flow O2, but RNs are not responsible for operation beyond troubleshooting
• No tele/monitor techs on unit; RNs must be able to recognize rhythms but are not required to read strips
• Self-scheduling allowed while maintaining a balanced schedule
• Floating to other departments may be required
• No call or standby requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent telemetry/acute care experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating cardiac drips
• Must be able to recognize cardiac rhythms
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

• Provide direct patient care on a busy telemetry/med surg unit
• Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs as part of a team-based care model
• Unit/department-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts
• Holiday coverage required for 2 summer holidays and 3 winter holidays (including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• Scrub color required:
  Galaxy Blue
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any Common Spirit-affiliated facility within the past year
