Description:
This is an acute, non-tele, medical-surgical unit. There will be a 1:5 patient ratio. All contracts will require BLS certification, with ACLS preferred. One year of experience is required. Preferred experience includes working in an academic medical center. Local travelers are not accepted within 100 miles of the facility. Travelers will be expected to work 3 out of 5 winter holidays.
Candidates must have prior charge experience. Patients are cared for with a focus on isolation precautions and PPE. Experience with peripheral line care and management is necessary. Candidates may be expected to float within the hospital. All submissions must confirm the absence of any licensure hits. Eligibility checks will be conducted to verify prior work history. This role requires familiarity with standard charting systems.
Modules may be necessary and are average 6.5 hours, completed during orientation and annually.
