Required
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
1 year in groundskeeping, turf management, or landscaping
- Lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up toセット 50 lb

- Repetitive motion and exposure to loud noise, cuts/punctures, outdoor temperature extremesேன் attaining
- Night, weekend, and holiday work as needed
Sunday through Thursday, 3:15 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. (hours vary with weather and campus needs)
Job SummaryThe University of Kentucky maintains a 900‑acre, landscaped campus that serves a community of 30,000 students and 13,500 employees. The Grounds Worker plays a key role in keeping these green spaces attractive and functional. Responsibilities include mowing, weeding, mulching, plant installation, sanitation, light‑to‑heavy equipment operation (mowers, trucks, utility vehicles, tractors, loaders), and venue maintenance. The position also delivers snow and ice control services during all hours—including nights, weekends, and holidays—to ensure campus safety.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain campus grounds by performing mowing, weeding, mulching, and plant installation tasks.
- Execute sanitation services and clean designated venue areas.
- Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, loaders, and snow/ice removal machinery.
- Provide nightly, weekend, and holiday support for snow and ice removal to عديدة campus safety.
- Work as part of a team in a fast‑moving outdoor environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in groundskeeping or landscaping.
- Proficiency with MS Windows/Office.
- Physical ability to lift/push/pull > 50 lb and work in extreme weather.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
