Physical Requirements
- Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50lbs
- Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs
- Repetitive motion.
- Part-time ~ 20 hours per week
- Between 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM
Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors and may include some nights, weekends, and holiday response.
Job SummaryThe STEPS Grounds Worker supports campus maintenance and landscaping to ensure safe, clean, and attractive outdoor environments.
Responsibilities- Ensuring various bins around campus and UK Healthcare are cleaned – including sanitation of bins
- Removing litter, emptying trash, and maintaining cleanliness of grounds, stairwells, and parking garages
- Preparing for and responding to winter weather events, including snow and ice removal at all hours (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Performing post-winter cleanup

Required Experience6 months of experience performing similar job duties such as groundskeeping, turf and landscaping maintenance.
Preferred Education / ExperienceHS + 1 year experience in groundskeeping; turf and landscaping maintenance
