Position: Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Overview

Based Agency is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing digital marketing agency team in Lexington, KY. This on-site role is perfect for someone passionate about building relationships, helping local businesses grow, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads generated from our marketing campaigns, providing an excellent first impression and qualifying potential clients.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand business needs, budget, and challenges.
  • Host audit calls to review potential clients’ current marketing or advertising strategy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Execute regular follow-ups and maintain consistent touch points with prospects to keep them engaged throughout the sales process
  • Cross-sell and present new services or upgrades to existing clients, uncovering further business opportunities
  • Identify and pursue outbound sales opportunities when you have capacity, targeting local businesses that could benefit from our marketing solutions
  • Use CRM tools to track leads, log activity, and report on sales performance
  • Collaborate closely with our account management and service teams to ensure a smooth handover from sales to onboarding
  • Continuously seek ways to improve our sales processes and client experience
Requirements
  • On-site availability in Lexington, KY (remote work is not available for this position)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a confident, positive phone presence
  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales, business development, customer service, or a similar client-facing role (agency experience is a strong plus)
  • Proven ability to conduct sales calls, consultative discovery sessions, and client presentations
  • Experience using CRM software to manage and track sales activity
  • Native or bilingual English speaking proficiency
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage follow-ups and multiple touch points with many prospects
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and comfortable working towards and exceeding sales targets
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn about digital marketing services (Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, etc.)
  • Case studies or examples of your sales results strongly preferred: please provide with the application if possible.
Preferred (but not required)
  • Prior experience in a digital marketing, advertising, or local services agency environment
  • Experience cross-selling or upselling additional services to an existing client base
