Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Facilities and Auxiliary Services supports the overall management, maintenance, and operational efficiency of school facilities, grounds, and auxiliary services (such as campus events and campus enhancement projects). This role ensures the safe, clean, and effective operation of our campus to support the school's mission and daily functions.

Key Responsibilities Facilities Management
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and supervision of daily maintenance, repairs, and custodial operations.
  • Help oversee building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and inspectors to ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage school vehicle maintenance, safety, and inspection.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the athletic field, sports court, and equipment.
Auxiliary Services
  • Support food service operations by liaising with vendors, staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee scheduling and logistics for internal and external events hosted on campus with occasional weekend hours.
  • Coordinate rentals or usage of school facilities by outside organizations, ensuring proper documentation and agreements are in place.
Administrative Duties
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring for maintenance and auxiliary services.
  • Maintain records of work orders, inspections, contracts, and vendor communications.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness planning and response (e.g., weather events, facility emergencies).
  • Participate in planning and aid in the management of multiyear capital improvement projects.
