Camp Head Counselor (18) - $17 / hour
The Day Camp Head Counseloris responsible for the overall supervision, planning, and implementation of programming for a designated age group. Head Counselors lead daily activities, support and supervise counseling staff, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging camp experience for all participants.
- Plan, organize, and lead a variety of age-appropriate camp activities, including games, arts, sports, special events, and group activities.
- Oversee the daily schedule and flow of programming for the assigned age group.
- Mentor and support Counselors within the age group.
- Ensure participant safety at all times and follow all camp policies and procedures.
- Model positive behavior management and inclusion strategies.
- Communicate regularly with camp leadership regarding participant needs, incidents, or concerns.
- Support participants with varying abilities and needs, working with inclusion or therapeutic staff as appropriate.
- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and daily check-ins.
- Maintain attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Camp Counselor (16) - $15 / hour
The Day Camp Counseloris responsible for the supervision, safety, and engagement of a small cohort of campers within an assigned age group. Counselors support the implementation of planned activities, facilitate positive group dynamics, and create a safe and engaging experience for their campers.
- Supervise and engage a designated group of campers throughout the day.
- Support and participate in activities planned by the Head Counselor.
- Manage group behavior using positive and age-appropriate strategies.
- Ensure camper safety during all activities, transitions, and routines.
- Build positive relationships with campers and encourage participation and inclusion.
- Assist campers with daily needs, routines, and transitions.
- Communicate participant concerns or incidents to the Head Counselor.
- Follow all camp rules, safety procedures, and staff expectations.
- Serve as a positive role model for campers at all times.
