Outpatient TMS Psychiatrist

Life Stance Health is seeking a psychiatrist to join its multidisciplinary team as the practice introduces TMS services at its Massachusetts locations. The ideal candidate will participate in TMS training, conduct patient assessments, and oversee TMS technicians while collaborating in a supportive and collegial setting. This role offers flexibility for a mix of TMS and outpatient psychiatric work or a focus primarily on TMS services.

Practice Info

• Multidisciplinary group composed of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and neuropsychologists
• TMS offices in Lexington
• Well-appointed offices with dedicated support staff including a Medical Services team that manages prior authorization paperwork and streamlines refill requests and patient messages
• EMR system with electronic prescribing, peer consultation groups, and dedicated professionals with whom to collaborate
• Support staff who handle credentialing, insurance authorizations, scheduling appointments, and collection of payments

Responsibilities

• Participate in training to develop TMS skills, if not already experienced
• Commit to at least two in-person clinic days per week for mapping and remapping visits
• Conduct initial patient assessments (in person or via telehealth), confirm diagnoses, and document medical necessity using an AMD template and supporting forms
• Closely oversee the TMS technician, co-sign daily treatment notes, and be readily available for clinical questions
• Monitor patient progress, adjust protocols as needed, and provide discharge summaries to the primary/referring psychiatric clinician
• Represent the TMS program to internal and external clinicians, to educate, and coordinate care

Compensation

• $300k-$373k compensation model based on productivity
• Above average W2 compensation package

Qualifications

• BC/BE psychiatrist candidates
• Strong interest in TMS, a commitment to teamwork, and a focus on patient outcomes, quality care and program growth
• Experience with TMS is valued but not required
