Overview
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders seeks part-time instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. Instructors may supervise graduate students in related clinical practice in the on-campus Speech-Language and Hearing Center.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include, but are not limited to: development of course materials, lectures, and laboratory experiences; administration of lectures and examinations; and evaluation of student performance. Part-time instructors may work under the direction of Lead Faculty for some courses and will hold office hours to meet with students as appropriate.
QualificationsDegree of Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, or closely related field, is preferred but not required. M.S./M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology, or closely related field is required. ASHA certification in Speech-Language Pathology is required for teaching certain courses and for any course that requires clinical supervision of students. For such courses a MA license in the relevant practice area is required.
Preferred QualificationsSuccessful applicants will have prior college teaching experience in a higher education institution and experience with clinical supervision.
