This role supports the development and testing of drug-device combination products. The ideal candidate performs mechanical assembly and test operations, develops and documents work instructions, conducts engineering testing, analyzes data, and authors reports. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is expected.
Responsibilities- Hands‑on assembly method development, testing, and failure analysis in the research lab.
- Documentation, technical report writing, design control, and data analysis.
- Operation of lab equipment, prototype building, and process development.
- Development and authorship of illustrative work instructions for assembly and test processes.
- Conduct studies and data analyses, and prepare reports on research and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Adherence to policies and procedures related to clinical supply chain manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with a mechanical focus.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience in the life sciences industry with GMP/GLPs.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or device industry is a plus.
- Mechanical assembly, laboratory, and tensile testing skills.
- Proficiency with basic tools such as syringe pumps and balances.
- Basic understanding of biomaterials and CAD software (Solid Works preferred).
- Experience in GMP and Design Control (CFR‑820) and ISO
13485 regulated environments is a plus. - Strong attention to detail in documentation and ability to multitask under time constraints.
- Capability to work with minimal supervision and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and statistical process control tools such as Minitab.
- Positive, self‑driven work ethic and experience with Gage R&R Studies, Process Capability Studies, and Designs of Experiments.
This position requires onsite presence five days a week.
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Lexington, MA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
