Overview
Microfabrication Industrial Engineering Co‑Op
Microelectronics Laboratory seeks students eager to apply engineering knowledge and analysis principles to improve operational efficiencies within the U.S. Government’s most capable wafer fabrication facility. Successful candidates will optimize effectiveness of systems, processes, and operations.
Responsibilities- Analyze and improve manufacturing execution systems.
- Conduct workflow analysis and develop metrics.
- Design visual and information systems to support operations.
- Assist in operations optimization projects.
- Undergraduate background in industrial engineering, systems engineering, operations research, manufacturing engineering, production engineering, management science, human factors engineering, logistics engineering, quality engineering, information technology, or computer science.
- Willingness to work in a cleanroom.
- Enthusiasm for problem‑solving, teamwork, and U.S. citizenship.
- Technical Co‑Op: $24.50–$31.00 per hour (based on year in school).
- Administrative Co‑Op: $21.50–$25.00 per hour (based on year in school).
Selected candidate will undergo a pre‑employment background investigation and must obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
