Overview
The Human Health & Performance Systems Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory develops human‑centered technologies to enhance capability in national security domains. This Co‑Op offers experience in real‑time physiological monitoring, signal processing, and neurophysiological assessments.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with researchers in biomedical engineering, brain imaging, machine learning, and neuroscience to write code, collect data, and analyze results. Contribute to projects involving functional near‑infrared spectroscopy and electroencephalography and real‑time signal processing.
Requirements- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., M.Eng., or Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Self‑motivated
- Experience with machine learning, deep learning, and statistical pattern recognition
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB
- Biomedical signal or image processing experience
- Experience with virtual reality, web development, or Android development
- Technical Co‑Op: $24.50 – $31.00 per hour (based on year in school)
- Administrative Co‑Op: $21.50 – $25.00 per hour (based on year in school)
The selected candidate must be subject to a pre‑employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
