Overview
Position: Full Time Floor Leader
Weekly: 30-39 hours
As a Floor Leader, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Store Management Team across all areas of the business, including driving sales, opening/closing the store, analyzing sales results, and leading training sessions. You will lead a team of sales associates on the shop floor to achieve and surpass goals, foster a culture of passion and positivity, and promote operational excellence and an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities- Sales & Customer Experience: Drive sales by coaching the sales team using store metrics, adjust the shop floor as needed to meet goals, own results, and celebrate achievements with the team. Lead by example in delivering a world-class customer experience on the shop floor, including product demonstrations, listening to consultations, and collaborating with the team to exceed daily sales goals.
- Building the Brand: Educate customers on brand values and communicate positions on fighting animal testing, fresh cosmetics, ethical buying, 100% vegetarian, handmade, and naked packaging in-store and through community engagement.
- Product Passion: Maintain and deepen product knowledge and provide informed recommendations for customer needs.
- Development: Train and coach Sales Ambassadors and peers on effective sales techniques and product knowledge to improve performance and support team growth. Lead by example, seek feedback, and pursue opportunities to develop skills.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB): Encourage open communication, listen to team members’ perspectives, promote teamwork, and value each employee’s contributions.
- Cash Handling and Store Opening/Closing: Manage cash handling, customer transactions, register openings/closings, cash drawer reconciliation, nightly deposits, and store security. As required, take deposits to the bank.
- Time and Attendance: Lead by example in attendance and punctuality; monitor breaks and store communications to keep the team informed and prepared for shifts.
- Visuals and Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
- Stock and Inventory: Train the team on inventory best practices and supports inventory tasks; use Visual Merchandising guidelines to adjust product displays based on sales.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with company standards for opening/closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety.
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in:
- customer service and sales
- cash handling and opening/closing procedures
- supervisory experience involving coaching, feedback, and training
- problem-solving issues related to customer service in day-to-day operations
- a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with consultation-based customer service models
- Experience analyzing sales metrics
- Experience working in skincare or cosmetics
- Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
- Fluency in Spanish, French or other languages
