The Counter Sales role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Lexington, NE branch. This role is responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter, answering inquiries, identifying product needs, and providing accurate quotes and order entry. Daily activities include processing sales and returns, coordinating with the warehouse for inventory and order fulfillment, and ensuring merchandise is properly stocked and displayed.

The Counter Sales team member collaborates with outside sales and other internal departments to support customer projects, resolve issues, and follow up on open orders. This position also involves learning product lines, participating in training, and using company systems to maintain up-to-date customer and sales information.

• Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of customers and team members.
• Candidates should possess Sales and Sales Management-related skills, including basic selling techniques, upselling, and supporting branch sales goals.
• Candidates should possess Training-related skills, such as the ability to learn new product lines, systems, and procedures and share knowledge with colleagues and customers.
• Basic understanding of electrical products or willingness to learn technical product information is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Lexington, NE, including standing for extended periods and handling typical material handling tasks.
• Experience in counter sales, retail, or wholesale distribution is preferred, but candidates with related customer-facing experience are encouraged to apply.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in business, sales, or electrical fields are a plus.
• Comfort using computer systems for order entry, inventory lookup, and customer communication.
